The woodmizer has bandsawn the logs into 6/4 thick flitches. The ends have been coated with latex paint to prevent checking. The flitches are stacked flat with sticks between each piece allowing them to dry evenly. This process can take up to a year to get furniture grade lumber that is dry enough to use. A quicker way to dry the wood is to find a mill that has a kiln but with this amount of wood they may not find it worth their time. I would rather save the money and dry it myself.
